RECOFTC operates in the Asia-Pacific region, with country offices in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Viet Nam.

RECOFTC is inviting candidates to apply for an internship opportunity and be a part of the Executive Office at the RECOFTC main office in Bangkok. This is a paid 12-month internship with a possibility of extension and open to Thai nationals only.

Internships at RECOFTC help interns build practical skills, gain work experience and deepen understanding of community forestry in the Asia-Pacific region. This supports their professional career development in their area of interest. Interns will collaborate with RECOFTC partners, local NGOs and communities through assignments and duties.

 
Tasks and duties

The Partnerships Intern will be a member of RECOFTC’s Executive Office unit under the direct supervision of the Partnerships and Fundraising Officer. Key responsibilities include supporting regular partnership activities, research, management of database and partnership reporting.


Specific tasks and duties:

    Explore potential partners, including donors, international organizations and private sector
    Conduct research on partnership trends, especially in community forestry, sustainable development, and climate change adaptation to provide partnership intelligence
    Support in preparing periodic partnership reports and updates both internally and externally
    Support maintaining records of partnership activities, including agreements, reports and correspondence
    Support managing the partnership database and ensure all relevant partnership data are captured and tracked regularly
    Support reviewing partnership agreements and due diligence process
    Support coordination with RECOFTC country offices to get updates and maintain records of new partnership-related activities
    Help organize and coordinate partnership-related events, such as workshops, meetings and networking opportunities
    Other tasks assigned by the supervisor


Qualifications and experience
 

The Intern should have the following essential qualifications and experience:

Essential

    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in international development, social development, project management, natural resource management or related field
    Fresh graduate or one year of experience assisting programs or projects that involved stakeholder engagement, event organization and data analysis
    Good interpersonal communication skills
    Highly organized and able to work in a team and independently
    Familiarity with or interested in working in cross-cultural environment
    Fluent written and spoken Thai and good written and spoken English
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
    Willingness to work in person at RECOFTC main office in Bangkok
    Commitment to practicing and promoting RECOFTC’s core values
    Must be a Thai national
